Leah has proudly worked as an actor, teacher, and theatre collaborator for over two decades,

and is a member of the Actors Equity Association.

As a Philadelphia-based actor, Leah has performed with numerous local theatre companies, including

Philadelphia Theatre Company, Theatre Horizon, 

Walnut Street Theatre, Arden Theatre, People's Light,

1812 Productions, InterAct Theatre Company, 11th Hour, Pig Iron, EgoPo Classic Productions, Montgomery Theatre,

Mum Puppettheatre, Azuka Theatre, Temple University,

among many others.

She has developed new plays, and performed Off-Broadway 

at Ars Nova with the Berserker Residents,

and with The Debate Society at Playwrights Horizons SuperLab.

Leah is currently a Visiting Assistant Professor at 

the University of the Arts where she teaches acting.

She has previously taught at Temple University, the Arden Theatre,

the Walnut Street Theatre, the HMS School for Children with Cerebral Palsy, and privately.

Leah's training began as a Drama Student at Ithaca College where she received a BA degree and graduated Magna Cum Laude. While enrolled at Ithaca College, she spent three semesters abroad and trained at the Eugene O’Neill Theater Center’s National Theater Institute in Waterford, CT, the Moscow Art Theatre School in Russia, and the Gate Theatre of London, England. It was during her undergraduate career that she became interested in theatrical movement work, particularly that of Michael Chekhov, and has studied his acting technique with the International Michael Chekhov Association. She is graduate of Temple University’s MFA Acting program.

 

Leah's current scholarship is focused on elevating the unique voices of her students through her studies with Theatrical Intimacy Education, and has completed training with the International Coach Federation.
